Michael Clarke and his fiancée Lara Bingle posed for their first joint project, promoting a no-carbs, no-sugar energy drink.

The vice-captain of the Australian cricket team was seen wearing only black jeans as he lounged with the model, who was wrapped in an oversize underwear and cropped T-shirt for the Synergy ad.

"Synergy reflects who we are. We live a very happy, healthy lifestyle," the Daily Telegraph quoted the sportsman as saying.

"We take our dogs, Winter and Jerry, for a run together. Lara has a personal trainer and I do my cricket training. We take care of ourselves. We eat junk food, in moderation, but we don't diet," he added.

The 28-year-old further shot down regular comparisons drawn between them and UK showbiz royalty, Victoria and David Beckham.

He said: "We don't see ourselves like that at all. I guess the similarity is that I play sport and David plays sport, but they represent a different market - an international market."
