In the early 90s, Billy Ray Cyrus and his flowing mullet tore up the country charts thanks to his hit single "Achy Breaky Heart." But his daughter would scale even greater heights. Starting with the series Hannah Montana in 2005, Miley Cyrus has become the de facto queen of teen pop, selling out concerts and dominating sales charts (and tabloid covers) since before she had a driver's license.

    Tom Hanks and Colin Hanks

Tom Hanks is one of the few A-list actors who's made it to the top with his normal guy image firmly intact. Career highlights include winning back-to-back Oscars for Philadelphia and Forrest Gump and a lifetime domestic box office take of $3.3 billion. His son Colin Hanks has big shoes to fill, but well-recieved turns in Orange County, King Kong, and the television series Mad Men and Band of Brothers are all helping to make him a household name as well.

    Jack Nicholson and Lorraine Nicholson

Jack Nicholson is, well, Jack Nicholson. Riffing on his image as a certain kind of louche neurotic Lothario, Nicholson has racked up a record-breaking twelve Oscar noms, winning three times. His daughter Lorraine Nicholson is quickly building up her own resume, taking turns in Fly Me to the Moon, Click, The Princess Diaries 2, and Something's Gotta Give, as well as modeling for Teen Vogue.

His daughter, Nicole Richie, got her start as Paris Hilton's sidekick on The Simple Life, but recent years have seen her transitioning into both a fashion icon and loving mother.

    Blythe Danner and Gwyneth Paltrow

Blythe Danner was setting the stage on fire by the time she was 25, winning the Theatre World Award for her performance The Miser, and then a Tony for Butterflies are Free two years later. That should make it less surprising that her daughter, Gwyneth Paltrow, is something of a phenom herself, winning a Best Actress Oscar for her work in Shakespeare in Love at the age of 26.

    Kirk Douglas and Michael Douglas

Kirk Douglas made a career playing, as he famously put it, "sons of *****es." His most famous son of a ***** was undoubtably his role in Spartacus, in which his New York brogue added a special flair to his portrayal of the freedom-fighting gladiator. His son Michael Douglas has seen even greater success, taking home the Oscar twice, one for his turn in Wall Street, and one for producing One Flew Over's the Cuckoo's Nest.
