    Default Semen Analysis Results

    I've semen Analysis done today and following is the report:

    Volume = 3.5 ML
    Colour = Opaque Grey
    Reaction = Alkaline
    PH = 8.0
    Viscocity Liquefaction Time = 45 Mins
    Fructose test = Positive
    Total Sperm Count = 58 million/ml
    Active Motile = 40% (This worries me)
    Sluggish Motile = 20%
    Non Motile = 40% (This worries me)
    Pus Cell = 5-6
    Macrophages = 2-3
    RBCs = 0-1
    Yeast/Bacteria = Nil
    Abnormal Forms = 7
    Immature Forms = Occasional
    Agglutination = Nil
    Clumping = Present

    I understand that to be able to conceive the:
    Active Motile should be >= 60%
    And Non Motile should be <= 20%
    Sluggish Motile should be <= 20%

    Please give me some hope...

    40% is not so bad.. atleast you have a chance to get artificial insemination if normal attempt fails. you got 40% motile sperms, so artificial methods are there as a last resort

    A normal person cant say anything based on this result. YOu need an expert... a doctor who is expert in this field, even a general physcian may not be good in analyzing this

    Preeto ji isn't a doc, my dear. Nor are most of us. Do consult with a doc.

    kindly go for CLASS motality test (grade-1,2,3,4).it is more accurate test for it there are some dietary supplements for good spermategenesis like soy isolated protein powder 25-30 gm and vitamin E with selenium.u also can try homeopathic medicine.

    Dont worry About the results if u are married then u have to take a break from every alternate day enjoyment :P
    Take Vitamins with ZINC in high amount eat zinc rich food and drink plenty of water ( 10 glasses daily ) to remove the pus cells vitamins should be at least for one year.
    if your married then u can do it every week but not more then that.
    Best of Luck !!!!

    I don't think you have any problem and you are panicking without reason. Refer a doc for getting reassured though. If you look up on the net, with your level of count and motility, you would probably require to take some extra efforts to impregnate your wife/partner, nothing more. Cumulative motility(active + sluggish) being above 50%, there should not any problems for you to lead a normal married life and be a father.
