    Sehwag's Captaincy

Virender Sehwag will lead the side during the first three games of this 5-match series. This will be Viru's first ODI appearance for Team India since he scored a second-ball duck against Sri Lanka in the World Cup final almost eight months ago! Having said that, the Delhi opener has had a decent run off late. He got a few quick starts in the recent test series, and is due for a big hundred.

To add to this, he will be joined at the top of the order with his usual partner in crime, Gautam Gambhir. This should ease the pressure that comes with leading a high-profile side like India

    Parthiv Patel

The 26-year-old Baroda southpaw has established himself as India's No. 2 wicketkeeper. While it's highly unlikely he'll replace MS Dhoni any time soon, he has time and again proven to be a worthy substitute. Parthiv's aggressive batting on Indian wickets is what sets him apart from other wicketkeeper-batsmen.
He's been in good knick over the past few months, and he's built a reputation of being a big scorer against visiting teams. In other words, Parthiv Patel is bound to make a lot of people sit up and take notice!

    Young Spinners

With R Ashwin playing like a true champion, it looks like India's spin baton has been passed over to the new generation. The Tamil Nadu spinner wreaked havoc during the test series, as he led the Indian charge from the front. In the absence of test specialist Pragyan Ojha, he will be joined by Rahul Sharma and the deceptively dangerous Ravindra Jadeja.

Expect this trio to be among the wickets. However, Rahul Sharma will probably have to sit a few games out, in a second-string squad that has several fringe players.

    Fringe Players

Speaking of fringe players, another trio--Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma and Manoj Tiwary--will be out to prove a point to selectors. All three have had a great 2011, as they've helped their respective teams dominate proceedings on the domestic circuit.
Rahane and Sharma will be particularly eager to justify their inclusion in the test squad bound for Australia

    Young Pacers

In the absence of the injured Praveen Kumar, Ishant Sharma, and the recuperating Zaheer Khan, the Indian pace attack is very young and inexperienced. The pace trident of Varun Aaron, Vinay Kumar and Umesh Yadav gets the ideal opportunity to showcase exactly what they're capable of. Expect Sehwag to alternate between these three impressive quicks and Abhimanyu Mithun throughout the series.
These five games will be a great test for Aaron and Yadav who are Australia bound
