The Delhi Police personnel, who have been appreciated for their bravery and meritorious services, will now get a chance of a lifetime to watch Dabangg 2 with none other than Salman Khan before the film's release on Dec 21.

Sources say that Salman Khan, who will arrive in Delhi on Dec 18, will not only pay his tribute to police martyrs, but also will meet the relatives of the five policemen who died during the Dec 13, 2001, parliament attack.

Readers may recall that, earlier too, a special screening of Rowdy Rathore was held for Delhi Police's SWAT (Special Weapon and Techniques) team with Akshay Kumar.

Manish Paul replaces Ali Zafar in Tere Bin Laden sequel!

But why was the Pakistani actor-singer bumped off in the sequel to the 2010 hit comedy?

Manish Paul won many hearts as the host of innumerable reality shows on the small screen, including the recent Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5. And maybe that’s how he got spotted by director Abhishek Sharma of Tere Bin Laden sequel.

But wait, wasn’t Ali Zafar a perfect choice for the lead role in the sequel? We wonder only because his performance in Tere Bin Laden was well-appreciated. But according to the director, Ali wasn’t the right choice, baby.

Birdies around Abhishek chirp that the director wanted a fresh face. And so what if we’ve seen Manish pop up time and again on the small screen? We haven’t seen him on the big screen yet, right? So that does qualify him for the fresh-face category, no?

Apart from Manish being the perfect choice, the grapevine also suggested that Sharma had a fall-out of sorts with Ali Zafar. But rubbishing such gossip, feathered friends close to Abhishek revealed that Ali will also be a part of Tere Bin Laden sequel, albeit in a cameo role.

What’s more, now that the script has finally been locked, the director can’t wait to start shooting. And we can’t wait to watch Manish Paul and his spot-on comic timing on the bada parda.

    Aren’t you excited too?
    take care!

Barfi! is out of the Oscars' race.

Director Anurag Basu's "Barfi!" has failed to qualify for the best foreign language film category for the 85th Academy Awards, according to the latest Oscar shortlist.

Barfi! received rave reviews from the critics and audience and raked in Rs. 106 crores nett at the domestic box office which was not anticipated. The film was selected over films such as Kahaani, Paan Singh Tomar and Gangs of Wasseypur by The Film Federation Of India as India's Oscar entry. Some critics and pundits alike criticised the decision stating that Barfi! was heavily inspired and had copied scenes from various Hollywood films.

The 9 films that remain in the race to be nominated in the 'Best Foreign Language Film' category at the Academy Awards are:
    “Amour” by Michael Haneke (Austria)
“War Witch” by Kim Nguyen (Canada)
    “No” by Pablo Larraín (Chile)
“A Royal Affair” by Nikolaj Arcel (Denmark)
“The Intouchables” by Olivier Nakache and Eric Toledano (France)
“The Deep” by Baltasar Kormákur (Iceland)
“Kon-Tiki” by Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg (Norway)
“Beyond the Hills” by Cristian Mungiu (Romania)
    “Sister” by Ursula Meier (Switzerland)
    take care!
