After some speculation on who would be the leading lady opposite Imran Khan in Punit Malhotra's next directorial venture, it can now be confirmed that it's none other than Kareena Kapoor. The hit jodi of Imran and Kareena who shared fab chemistry earlier this year in Dharma Productions' Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu will re-unite once again for another Dharma film this time to be directed by Punit Malhotra.

Kareena is excited to once again work with Imran and that too in a Dharma Productions film. The actress also knows Punit for a while since he happens to be her good friend and designer Manish Malhotra's nephew.

This would be Punit's second directorial venture after I Hate Luv Storys. The film promises to be a commercial masala entertainer.

Jism 2 director Pooja Bhatt says the third installment of Jism will be bigger and better

Pooja Bhatt’s Jism 2 is yet to hit the screens but the actor-turned-director has started working on the third film in the Jism franchise, with plans to make it in 3D.

“I had my script ready a long time back. I want to get it out of my system. I will make Jism 3 in 3D. It will be interesting to make an erotic film in 3D,” said Pooja. “In fact, we had plans to make Jism 2 in 3D. But later we felt it would look very ahead of times,” she added.

Though Pooja refuses to divulge any details on the cast of Jism 3, she says it will be bigger and better. “I don’t want to talk about the cast now. We have increased our take with Jism 2. So Jism 3 should be bigger and better. It will be a step ahead in every way,” she said, adding it will go on floors next year.

Pooja is looking forward to the release of Jism 2 featuring Sunny Leone, Randeep Hooda and Arunoday Singh. It is due to hit screens on August 3.

After an ocean of speculations,It is finally confirmed that Deepika Padukone has been confirmed for Ram Leela.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Indian take on Romeo and Juliet, 'Ram Leela' had been put on hold due to vacant leading actress after Kareena Kapoor walked out. It was also reported that Priyanka Chopra was approached.

An insider according to TOI revealed that since the female lead needed to be fair, Kat was a strong contender. But Dippy, however, clinched the deal.
A source close to the project revealed, "Bhansali wanted an A list heroine to play Leela. He approached Katrina but she did not have dates. Deepika was the only one with available dates for the project. Bhansali was only too happy to have her."

What are your thoughts? Will Deepika make a good desi Juliet ?

The Jism 2 actor is going to take dance and diction lessons in India before she begins shooting her second Bollywood film

After Jism2, it’s Ragini MMS 2 for Indo-Canadian porn star Sunny Leone and she reveals that the shooting of the horror-thriller sequel will start in a few months. “I love India. I am so happy I am here, I’ll be staying here for a while. I have a lot of different projects coming up. Ragini MMS 2 is something we are going to start shooting by the end of this year,” the 31-year-old said on Sunday at the announcement of her association with music company Saregama which will give its customers access to her content.

Taking about the preparations for Ragini MMS 2 and other projects, she said: “I’ll be doing workshops here in India, I’ll be doing them before Ragini MMS 2. I’ll be taking dance classes, Hindi lessons, watching Hindi movies. It’s like going back to school for me.” The film is a sequel to Ekta Kapoor’s 2011-film Ragini MMS which starred Kainaz Motivala and Raj Kumar Yadav.

Meanwhile, Sunny does not feel any heat from established Bollywood actors. “I don’t like the word. Competition is something, unless it’s in sports, it’s kind of like a negative word, at least in my book. These women (actors) work so hard. I know what goes into making a movie now,” Sunny said. “All these different appearances and other things that we do, it’s a business and on top of that you have a lot of fun. But competition, everyone is in their own league and in their own space,” she added.

    Farhan-Ritesh to produce Fu.krey

Dil Chahta Hai is one film that will always be remembered for many reasons than one. Firstly, it marked the debut of Farhan Akhtar as a director and Ritesh Sidhwani as a producer. Besides this, it also gave Bollywood, its headstart of boy-bonding films like Rock On, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara etc, to name a few.

The news is that the impeccable duo of Ritesh and Farhan are now planning to make ***rey. For the uninitiated, ***rey is a slang that's common in Delhi, which means good for nothing. The film will be directed by Mrigdeep Singh Lamba, who made his directorial debut with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra productions' Teen They Bhai. While the film is supposed to be set in North India, the story will revolve around young guys in high school and college. Buzz is that, as far as the starcast is concerned, the makers are planning to launch newcomers in the film.

But after the heavy-duty action that we are sure will be stuffed into Dhoom:3, would you really like to see him in a romantic avatar?

Abhishek Bachchan, who was recently surprised at the way his daughter – Aaradhya Bachchan – is growing up and how fast he sees changes in her facial features, is currently busy working on his action flick Dhoom:3. And we must say, we love AB in the role of a no-nonsense cop.

But Abhishek doesn’t want to stick to doing action films, as he was found doing in some of his recent movies like Players, Dum Maro Dum and Game. So next he will be seen romancing his costar in Kunal Kohli’s new love-fest.

According to certain birdies who flew in to chirp happily to us, the filming of this one will begin in the first half of 2013. But quiz Abhishek about it and he will insist on staying mum. “It’s too early to talk about it right now,” he said in an interview. Sigh!

Why so, AB? Are you nervous about returning to the big screen as a romantic hero? Well, we don’t blame you for feeling indecisive over this one ‘coz we still remember (and shudder) at the thought of your blopers like Dhai Akshar Prem Ke, Tera Jadoo Chal Gaya, Shararat and Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon. And we hope that this movie turns out to be nothing like those turkeys. Fingers crossed!

Art director Omung Kumar approached Sanjay Leela Bhansali about making a film on the life of Olympic medal-winner Mary Kom and it seems that SLB instantly agreed to produce it

The Saawariya director is mighty impressed with Omung Kumar’s attention to detail. So when Mr Kumar narrated his script to Sanjay and showed off the kind of homework he had done on the boxer, Bhansali gave his nod without wasting much time. Omung has worked as an art director for films like Black and Pyaar Ke Side Effects, among others. But looks like MK’s struggle has inspired him to an extent that he finally decided to give direction a shot. Although the makers haven’t started the casting process yet, we can already imagine Bollywood with its very own Million Dollar Baby in the making…or maybe something way better than that.

As Sanjay is all set to portray the hardships of the legendary boxer, we hear he will meet Mary on August 23 and discuss the project with her. And although we don’t know who the protagonist will be yet, we hope that she successfully steps into the shoes of this humble sportswoman and gives the Indian film industry a movie to remember as well as get inspired by!

The actor says that action films are taking a toll on him, so he is going back to romantic films

Action films take a toll, says Salman Khan, who is recovering from a facial nerve disorder, and adds disarmingly that a Tiger can’t make excuses like “I am not well” , a reference of course to his action film Ek Tha Tiger. “I am the ‘Tiger’, I can’t make excuses like ‘I am unwell, I can’t do it’,” Salman, who recently underwent treatment for trigeminal neuralgia in the US, said in an exclusive interview. “I have done all the things like running, beating, falling, jumping from one place to another…. if you are physically fit, you can perhaps do all this. But it takes a lot of toll on your body, doing the same thing the whole day,” he explained.

Salman’s hard work seems to be paying rich dividends as his espionage romp Ek Tha Tiger raked in Rs 33 crore on its opening day.

Now Salman wants to go back to the romantic genre. “I am doing a romantic film soon. Action is very tough… One has to get up at odd hours, like early morning, to do action films, work till late night, do action in worst conditions like in hot weather, fighting on rooftops and dirty places. It is difficult,” he said.

The 46-year-old is destiny’s child. Controversy, it appears, could be his middle name; he is neck deep in legal battles and health issues and has yet emerged box-office king with back-to-back action blockbusters - Wanted, Dabangg, Ready and Bodyguard. All of them entered the Rs 100 crore club and Ek Tha Tiger is on a record-breaking spree too. After setting a new record by raking in Rs 33 crore on the opening day, it has also smashed the weekend collection record by earning Rs 45 crore.

In Salman’s view, with the increasing number of theatres and the rise in ticket prices, Rs 100 crore could soon be equivalent to Rs 10 crore. “The exact collection starts from single screens and multiplexes in cities and small towns. With ticket prices and number of theatres also increasing, the films are likely to do a huge amount of business. Soon, this Rs 100 crore will be like Rs 10 crore,” Salman said. “And talking about the overseas business, who knows what business the film is exactly doing there? Once the distributor starts giving actual figures, the numbers will definitely go up.”

Salman forayed into Bollywood with 1988 film Biwi Ho Toh Aisi in a small role as Rekha’s spoilt brother-in-law. Success was his the very next year with the 1989 romance Maine Pyar Kiya. There was no looking back after that. He climbed the success ladder rapidly and churned out romantic hits like Love, Saajan, Hum Aapke Hain Koun! and Hum Dil Chuke Sanam. He then did romantic comedies like Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya and Partner. In 2009, he endorsed action with Wanted, the first in the series to hit the screen.
