10 Bollywood Newcomers Who Flopped
Sonam Kapoor (Saawariya): Sonam Kapoor made her debut in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film Saawariya along with Ranbir Kapoor, Salman Khan and Rani Mukherji. Now nothing would go wrong with that, right? You’re wrong! The film about two failed lovers did really badly at the box office. But both Sonam and Ranbir got noticed and managed to have plenty offers coming their way. Sonam went on to do Aisha and Ranbir did movies like Bachna Ae Haseeno and Wake up Sid that gave him recognition

Shahzahn Padamsee (Dil Toh Bachcha Hai ji): Shahzahn Padamsee is sure a pretty face. But we think she is nothing more than that. Theatre personality Alyque Padamsee’s daughter made her debut in Ranbir Kapoor starrer Rocket Singh Salesman of the Year. Though the movie flopped miserably, she received a couple of offers and was seen in Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji (a flop again) and Sajid Khan’s Housefull 2 which was a hit. Hopefully the she manages to stay afloat.

Monica Dogra (Dhobhi Ghat): Singer Monica Dogra made her debut in a much-hyped Aamir Khan movie Dhobhi Ghat. The urban movie unfortunately did not do well at the box office. Hopefully Monica will be more wise in choosing movies from now on.

Parvathy Omanakuttan (United Six): Ex Miss India Parvathy jumped the bandwagon of beauty queens who entered Bollywood only to fail miserably. She debuted in the movie United Six (come again?). Anyway, the leggy lass is now trying her luck with South Indian films. All the best to her.

Luv Sinha (Sadiyaan): Son of Shatrugan Sinha, Luv Sinha debuted in Sadiyaan, a movie starring biggies like Rekha, Rishi Kapoor and Hema Malini. The movie still managed to bomb at the box office. Luv is currently waiting for a good offer to come his way and we do hope it does.

Trisha Krishnan (Khatta Meetha): Trisha Krishnan’s first Bollywood movie was Khatta Meetha with Akshay Kumar. Though Akshay’s wisecracks got him a few more fans, the movie did not do well. The South Indian star who has decided to give Bollywood another shot, is apparently waiting for the right script to come her way.

Sameera Reddy (Maine Dil Tujhko Diya): Sameera Reddy’s first Bollywood movie, Maine Dil Tujhko Diya was opposite Sohail Khan. Though the movie did badly at the box office, her association with the Khans got her many more offers and she went on to do movies like Darna Mana Hai, Taxi No 9211 and Race.

Harman Baweja (Love Story 2050): Harman Baweja, son of art director Harry Baweja, started his Bollywood career in Love Story 2050, opposite Priyanka Chopra. The movie did miserably at the box office. He went on to do What’s Your Rashee with Priyanka again. It did not do well either. He however has two projects, It’s My Life and Chenab Gandhi with Vidya Balan. Let’s hope these films do well for him.

Rana Daggubati (Dum Maro Dum): Rana’s first Hindi movie was Dum Maro Dum with Bipasha Basu and Abhishek Bachchan. The movie flopped and though he had a fairly prominently role in it, it failed to get him noticed. He went on to do a couple of more Tamil and Telugu films. His latest Bollywood flick was Department. We wish he was a little more judicious in choosing his films.

Adhyayan Suman (Haal-e-Dil): Adhyayan Suman, apart from being known as Shekhar Suman’s son and Kangana Ranaut’s boyfriend, we really can’t recall any movie by him. He made his debut in a film called Haal-e-Dil ( we haven’t even heard of it!). He went on to star in Raazz 2 and Jashnn.

if Rocket Singh Sales Man Of The Year Was A Flop, then why was it nominated in different Bollywood Awards?????
