All the members who normally reply here operate their own gym businesses, so you will get good advises about cost and space etc.

I like your messages oOO - you are funny. The investment involved would be a function of location, land size, land rent or acquiring cost (a large part of investment), design & construction cost, equipment and staff. Besides these there may be some business costs involved. Now "modern" fitness centers usually have pools, sauna and other such recreational areas which would require more area or multi-storey design. To have a nice spacious ambience you should probably look for areas of over 1 kanal (about 5400+ sq.ft or 500+ sq.m) at minimum. Equipment will not be cheap either but you would buy in a bulk so will have some room for negotiation. Try to find all these costs based on what you want and then plug back values into investment equation to estimate the total cost.

    Good luck.

1-2 lakhs for multigym depending on you go local or stayfit.

    Dumbells n barbell 1 lakh.

Plates for barbell minimum cost. 59k.

Place n rent/ownership depending on area.. In bangalore its 10k for out of city.

In city limits 35k-1 lac. Rajajinagar etc..

If you are going for automated cardiovascular equipment.. A cool 5 lakhs minimum!

    ^ hah 1-2 lakhs ? are u kidding

atleast 5-6 lakhs , which will include all the fancy workout machines ,
and u know guys only go to gym with MANY machines , it will also become famous and attract more costumers - just keep ur monthy fees low .

if u could start a unisex gym , it would be AWESOME .

Also , if u could include sauna steam bath inside , it will fetch u more m0ney .
