Sheikh Mohammed al-Jzlana, a former judge at the Saudi Board of Grievances, told the news channel that Sheikh Daoud's remarks had made the faith look bad.Heurged people to ignore unofficial religious edicts, which he said were administered under special regulations set by Saudi authorities, which also appoints those entitled to issue them.The former judge said covering baby girls with burkas was 'an injustice' to children.

I think many people ask them such type of queries - like whether Saif-Kareena marriage is valid? whether women should work as receptionist? Whether photo of girl should be send during marriage proposals? etc etc.
Its better for people to use more common sense in daily life issues than asking questions to these people.

He's spoken of something most would say has nothing to do with Islam. Therefore, this is blasphemy. Why isn't he being punished in the same way they punish other blasphemers ? Or are there various levels of blasphemy ? All in all, it would be much better not to have a religion. No religion no misinterpretations, it's as simple as that. I remember one Saudi cleric who said the world is flat and that if anybody said it was round - they were kafirs . lol
