Anurag shoots at Pratiksha

Never before has Amitabh Bachchan allowed anyone to shoot or see inside his first home in Mumbai, Pratiksha. Pratiksha is where Amitabh Bachchan's parents lived all their lives when in Mumbai.




When Anurag Kashyap approached Amitabh Bachchan to be able to shoot in his house premises for his upcoming film Bombay Talkies, The Sr Bachchan graciously agreed. The story is about a die-hard fan who travels all the way from Allahabad to fulfill his mom's last wish of feeding Amitabh Bachchan, her handmade Murraba.



Bombay Talkies is a landmark feature film of this year releasing on the centenary date 3rd May when we complete 100 years of cinema. Bombay Talkies is an ode to cinema by four prolific film makers - Zoya Akhtar, Dibarkar Bannerji, Anurag Kashyap and Karan Johar.

Rani and Randdep have come together for the first time in Bombay Talkies, who play a married couple and the other guy in the frame is Saket a newcomer.Incidentally, the guy on Karan’s left in a black shirt is Kayoze, Boman Irani’s son who is assisting the director for Bombay Talkies. Kayoze was seen for the first seen in Student of the Year

Anurag was very keen to capture the historic bungalow where umpteenth fans have waited for hours and day to get a glimpse of him. Thus to shoot in his house was very important for Kashyap's film plot. Amitabh Bachchan allowed the fan inside Pratiksha in selected areas of the house which is the drive way and reception area
