    Sony Xperia Z Ultra

    Xperia Z Ultra phablet has display resolution of 1920x1080p and 344ppi pixel density. Under the hood, runs the quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU, Qualcomm's latest and powerful processor, clocked at 2.2GHz, backed by 2GB RAM. This device and features on-screen keys as well as scratch-resistant and shatterproof glass.

    The phablet runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) with a customized UI to make better use of the extra screen size. Powered by a 3,050mAh battery, Xperia Z Ultra packs 16GB internal storage and supports microSD card expansion up to 64GB. Connectivity suite of Sony's latest gadget consists of 2G, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and microUSB 2.0. On the back is an 8MP camera with LED flash, while a 2MP unit is placed in the front.

    At 212gram, Xperia Z Ultra is one of the heftiest phablets in the market, but with thickness of just 6.5mm, it finds itself a spot among the slimmest handsets today. Apart from multitouch, users can input data via stylus and pencils in this new phablet.

    HTC Desire 600

    The all-new HTC Desire 600 has a Super LCD 2 display panel with 960x540p resolution and 245ppi pixel density. It has a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU, backed by 1GB RAM, and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Onboard memory in the phone is 8GB, with microSD support up to 64GB and free Dropbox storage of 25GB.

    An 8MP autofocus camera with LED flash is strapped to the back of Desire 600, while a 1.6MP shooter is placed in front. The phone comes with connectivity options like 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 and NFC. The phone has Blinkfeed content aggregator and a 1,860mAh battery, along with BeatsAudio and BoomSound sound enhancement technologies. HTC Desire 600 is the only smartphone in its price band to feature dual-sim functionality.

    Samsung Galaxy Tab 3

    The new Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 features a TFT screen with 1024x600p resolution and 169ppi pixel density and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). This device is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, offers 1GB RAM and offers microSD card support. Connectivity options include 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and microUSB 2.0. On the back is a 3MP camera, while a 1.3MP unit is used in the front. This tablet measures 9.9mm along the waistline, has a 4,000mAh battery and costs Rs 17,745.

    Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 has an 8-inch TFT screen with 1280x800p resolution and 189ppi pixel density. It is powered by Android 4.2 and packs a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU under the hood, backed by 1.5GB RAM. On the back it has a 5MP camera, while a 1.3MP unit is located in the front. Powered by a 4,450mAh battery, the tablet has connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0. It is priced at Rs 21,945 in the Indian market.

    The last model in Samsung's new tablet range shares all features with Galaxy Tab 3 8.0, but also features 3G connectivity. It will cost Rs 25,725 in the country.

    Lenovo ThinkPad L430

    Lenovo's ThinkPad L430 laptop with third generation Intel core i3, i5, and i7 processors has been newly made available at retail market with an intent to cater to enterprise and SMB market, the company said.

    L430 is equipped with third generation ThinkPad docking, and has a range of built-in of ports for extensive usability coupled with a long battery life, it added. Lenovo said the laptop is priced starting at Rs 42,000 (taxes extra) and comes with 3-year onsite warranty.

    HP Android range

    HP recently added two Android devices to its portfolio, a tablet with keyboard dock and a desktop PC. The tablet, named Slatebook x2, runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) and comes with dual battery system, one battery in the base and other in the tablet to enable users to easily switch from notebook to tablet and back. The SlateBook x2 is priced at Rs 39,990 and has a 10.1-inch screen, 64GB internal storage, 2GB RAM, but does not have 3G functionality.


    The Slate 21 AiO desktop PC runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) and comes with a 21.5-inch IPS touchscreen. The company will offer the keyboard and mouse set to give it the true desktop PC feel. Under the hood is the 1.9GHz quad-core Tegra 4 processor and 1GB RAM, along with 8GB internal storage and microSD support. Priced at Rs 24,990, this Android computer comes with three USB ports, Wi-Fi, Ethernet and Bluetooth in the AiO, but no HDMI output.

    Lenovo IdeaTab A1000

    Unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in February this year, Lenovo IdeaTabA1000 has a 7-inch TFT screen with 1024x600p resolution. It runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system and is powered by a dual-core 1.2GHz Mediatek processor. It also has 4GB internal storage, 1GB RAM and microSD support of up to 32GB.

    For connectivity, Lenovo IdeaTab A1000 has features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, microUSB and can be used for voice calling. Available at Rs 8,990, this new tablet has a VGA camera in front for video calling and a 3,500mAh battery.

    HP Windows range

    HP also unveiled four Windows 8-powered devices in India recently, including a hybrid laptop, an ultrabook, a notebook and an AiO. HP Split x2 is a two-in-one detachable PC powered by Intel Core processor that sports a removable screen that turns into a tablet. The hard disk in the base expands storage capacity while dual batteries are intended to help on the go users. Priced at Rs 64,990, this hybrid computer comes with a 2MP TrueVision Full HD webcam and the HP ClickPad.

    The company also launched Envy Rove20 mobile All-in-One PC, which the company claims is its first mobile All-in-One PC. Envy Rove20 mobile, which unshackles desktop PC from the desk, comes with a built-in battery and advanced touch technology. It can easily move from upright to completely horizontal, has a 20-inch diagonal IPS widescreen HD+ backlit display. It is powered by fourth-generation Intel Core processors and sports a price tag of Rs 69,990.

    HP Pavilion 11 TouchSmart Notebook with an 11.6-inch touchscreen is powered by quad-core processor. The notebook's has a two-tone look that features Ano silver lid finish and a midnight black metal interior. Price of the notebook is Rs 31,990.

    HP has launched Envy TouchSmart 14 ultrabook that offers up to nine hours of battery life. Other features include dual speakers, subwoofer and graphics from Nvidia. The ultrabook with 2GB of video memory is priced at Rs 64,990.

    Videocon’s rival to Micromax Canvas HD, the new A55 HD smartphone features a 5-inch OGS screen with 1280x720p resolution and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). The phone runs on a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 1GB RAM and comes with 4GB internal storage and 32GB microSD support.

    On the back of the Videocon A55 HD is an 8MP camera with LED flash, while the front panel has a 3.2MP unit. The connectivity suite of the phone consists of 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB. It has a 2,000mAh battery and has been priced at Rs 13,499.

    Lava Iris 349+

    Lava has launched the cheapest Android smartphone in the Indian market, named Iris 349+. This phone, priced at Rs 3,499, has a 3.5-inch screen and runs on the three-year old Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) operating system. The TFT screen of the phone has 320x240p resolution and features dual-sim functionality.

    The new Iris 349+ is powered by a 1GHz processor, backed by 256MB RAM, and comes with 113MB internal storage, with microSD support up to 32GB. The phone has a 2MP rear camera and runs on a 1,400mAh battery. Connectivity features of the handset include 2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and microUSB.
