    Thumbs up Mother's treatment Query

    Mother's treatment Query

My mother's age is 55 years. Weight: 80kg, Height: 5 feet. She is having a pain on her knees when she moves and walks. She is having this problem for last 5-6 years. We have consulted with doctors, some of them said that her problem is from her weight. She is trying but weight is not decreasing that much.

Please advice me the right place, Doctor and Hospital for her treatment. Please be inform that distance is not a matter for her treatment.
    Thanks in advance.

Consult a dietetian, he will make a chart what to eat and when to eat, what to eat and what not to eat. Follow that strictly. At least 6 months.

80 kgs at 5 feet is a big too much, suggest u to see an orthpaedic, he will make tests on the condition of the knee. You will knw if itcan be treated thru medicines or physiotherapy OR in worst case scenario a knee replacement is required depending upon damage.

    Good luck.

I think she has osteoarthritis. If so, she may have to take necessary medicine.
