Alternate of Installing the Windows XP SP2 Again.
Power of "SFC /SCANNOW"
Ailaaa , You dont need to Re-Install Full OS for small problems like some DLL missing or Not Running of Some Built-In windows programs. You can reinstall all corrupted or missing files by using the simple command "SFC /SCANNOW" (ofcourse without quotes) in Windows XP. Just type the command in the "Start | Run" dialog box. You will require the original Windows Installation CD.

Why can't you 'write protect' your hard disk like you can with a floppy disk? - A Thought
If a virus starts copying itself and eating your second drive while in Read/Write mode. If you're sharp enough to hear it, you can hear accelerated activity unless you're living in the dark. You can raise a hand so fast and knock that switch into read only that you might even confuse the virus at best, and at worse it would be possible to use a program to recover what is still left instead of letting it eat your whole drive like what happened to my one touch.
On another note, manufacturers today are totally being irresponsible with flash devices. When a bios update comes out, its usually downloaded right from their website.
The bios is the core of the computer. It is the most basic operating system that exists and it is usually read only. I remember when if you wanted a bios update, you had to mail away for it and wait 6 weeks for it to arrive on a read only, write once Rom Chip and then you had to pry the old one out and push the new one in. That's the way it should be, because then it is guaranteed that some hero on the internet CANNOT flash your bios with the latest boot virus or compromised bios.
Also, with the great strides in Ram Chips and flashcards being able to hold gigabytes of information, why is not the CORE of the operating system contained in a chip that sits right next to the processor and is Infallible, Write once?
Here's the deal, all of the core of the os should be contained in a rom Chip and any updates or improvements should be available as a download, or better yet, you can mail away for an updated Rom Chip specific to your hardware.
That way if a virus eats something, it is very limited to what it can eat.
This isn't a good answer. How about if someone was smart enough to get into the business of providing a hard drive with a switch, Made for the sole purpose of being a second hard drive? OF COURSE your hard drive with the operating system has to be writable.
What I've wanted for years and years, is a second hard drive where I can store all of my backups, install programs, etc. on, where I flip a switch and not even God himself can write to it. Then I can sit back and laugh as a virus eats my computer to hell and back, because all I have to do is wipe the affected read/write drive, reinstall the OS, and start restoring everything without dealing with 1000 CD or 100 DVDs.
Software Anti writes and encryption and virus protection are a joke. Anything that took 80 hours a week for 10 years to develop only means that somewhere out there there is a grade school kid or a teenager with unlimited time to crack it.
Also, all software is Read/write, you only need to know the right codes to be able to do so. I don't care if someone used 1034G government approved military spec encryption, its a joke, they need to pay people to flip that switch that should be there on and off.
I would directly compare it to someone showing up at your house with a gun trying to rob you, and you call the police and wait for them to show up instead of shooting them.
You cannot crack an old 3.5 floppy disk or an SD card with a switch flipped that physically denies the ability for anything to write to the disk; it's impossible.
Anything else is just like waiting for the cops to show up when your life is in danger.
What we need is to stop being lazy, and to pay someone to actually watch, and flip the switch as necessary, only when he is trying to do something himself.
There should also be a waiting period of a couple month or so before any NEW programs released to market are ever loaded onto a physically protected drive. Home as well as Corporate IT departments definitely don't need a yes man.
Oh, by the way, I have a maxtor one touch external hard drive that I did spend countless hours uploading everything to. When my drive with my OS got infected, it just crawled right over to the one touch and that one touch can't even be accessed.
What is the problem with putting a switch on a drive that is INTENDED for backups? Are all these idiots stupid? If it had one, when my computer went into constant reboot mode and just booted until after the bios and posted some messed up messages on the screen, I could have just restored it. Instead, I threw the one touch away after trying to restore it and getting the same thing from something that had obviously spread to the one touch.
You know, I'm gonna figure this out myself even if i have to go back to IDE. There has got to be a way to add a switch.
Thanks for Listening Reading.

Enhance The Audio - For Your Ear , Satisfaction Guaranteed
Not Satisfied with Audio Output in PC even If you have 5.1 or even 7.1 Channel. Here Little Tricks and Softs do it 4 You. RealTek HD Sound Effect Manager. (If you have RealTek Audio).
Don't Worry If You dont have RealTek Audio . Here mathematical mojo DFX plugin 4 WinAMP. (You can use this even if You use RealTek for more Crystal Clear Sound)
Give your digital music files more vibrancy with DFX Audio Enhancement. DFX enhances your music listening experience by improving the sound quality of MP3, internet radio, Windows Media and other music files. Renew stereo depth, add 3D surround sound, restore sound clarity, boost your audio levels, and produce deeper, richer bass sounds. DFX also features optimization for headphones usage, audio spectrum analyzer, finely-tuned music presets, powerful music and speech audio modes, and many free stylish skins.
With DFX you can transform the sound of your PC into that of an expensive stereo system placed in a perfectly designed listening environment.
DFX for Winamp uses digital-signal-processing algorithms to replace high frequencies, restore lost or diminished stereo depth, increase the perceived loudness of the audio, and add rich bass sound. The result is Internet radio and compressed audio files (such as MP3s) that sound much cleaner and richer. You won't have to dig into a mess of settings to get results, since DFX for Winamp uses only a few sliders and buttons. The full version also includes 39 presets for different kinds of music, though unfortunately, the demo lets you use only three. It also disables the 3D-surround feature, which supposedly creates a surround-sound effect from a normal two-speaker setup. Nevertheless, even the trial version of DFX for Winamp makes your MP3s sound much, much better. On top of that, it's free, and you can use it as long as you want. So what are you waiting for?
If you use a different player dont worry you can download the corresponding plugins from the manufacturer’s site with a simple Google search.

Sound Volume is Too Low when playing DivX or XviD Ripped AVI Movies
The problem with really Low volume in DivX or XviD movies is usually caused by the movies using the AC3 Audio codec. The default volume for the AC3 codec is quite low, so raising the regular volume controls might not be enoughfor some movies. To fix the problem, simply goto the Start menu in Windows, select "Settings" and then the "Control Panel". If you have the AC3 codec installed on your system you should see the "AC3 Filter" listed there Some Times in ALL Program List. Simply open the "AC3 Filter" and from there you should be able to change the Master volume, and even the volume of individual channels such as the Voice channel.
Thats It ... Now Open The DivX or XviD Ripped Movie Rocking Sound![]()

Port Forwarding For Best Speed
You getting Great Speed in HTTP / FTP download and worst speed in DC++, P2P Software or Torrentz ? Here is Why ? and How To Get Rid of It ? Some ISPs port binding for security measures. So No Possible Help.
What is a firewall?
A firewall is a device that people and companies use to protect their networks from hackers and unauthorized access, by filtering the incoming and outgoing traffic with a set of rules. Software firewalls and Routers are the two common instances of firewalls. Both act in a similar way; they restrict connections from and to your PC. Software firewalls are becoming increasingly common and Windows XP even has a software firewall built in. Since either type of firewall may prevent incoming connections to DC++, P2P Software or Torrentz, it will reduce your download speed and the number of search results, unless you configure it.
What is a router?
A router is a device that allows several computers on a local network to share an Internet connection. It provides a barrier between the internet and a local network. Most routers work using Network Address Translation [NAT]. Some ISPs will provide you with a router, and a router many be contained within a cable or DSL modem.
Unless the router is specially configured to allow it, it is not possible for a PC behind a router to accept incoming connections. Configuring the router to allow a computer behind to router to communicate with computers on the internet is called "port forwarding"
If you are using a computer on a local area network (which is commonly the case in an office, school or college dorm), then it is likely you will not have access to the router in order to configure it. In this case, you may wish to talk to the network administrator and ask them to configure it for you. In the likely event of the network administrator declining to open ports for you, perhaps because of policies to limit the amount of p2p traffic on their networks, or for security reasons, there is really nothing further you can try
.
How can I tell whether I have a router?
Some people have a router without knowing it. This is because your ISP may provide you a device that you believe to simply be a modem, but sometimes, the device is a modem and a router in one. To tell whether you have a router or not, follow these steps:
- Open the start menu and select 'Run...', a dialog box will appear.
- In that box, enter cmd and click on OK. (On Windows 95, 98 and Me, enter command instead, or winipcfg.)
- A Command window will appear. In that box, enter the command ipconfig. Or, if you want the results to be saved in a text file you can more easy peruse from the working directory: ipconfig>IPconfigInfo.txt
- Several groups of lines will be printed on the screen, one group for each device capable of using an internet protocol. Find the device you are actively using for the internet. For that device, note the IP-Address, the Subnet Mask and the Standard Gateway. The first one is the IP address of your computer and the third one is the IP address of your gateway. The subnet mask should have have all its numbers the same (if it does, the device you are looking at is not likely the device you are using for the internet).
If you have a router, then your gateway is your router and the gateway's IP is the router's IP. Both of the IPs are likely to start with the same number. Now check if they start either with 10.x.x.x or with 192.168.x.x or with something between 172.16.x.x and 172.31.x.x. If your IPs start with anything that matches those patterns, then you do have a router. If the IP you have do not match any of the patterns, then you don't have a router.
- If you just found out that you do have a router, then write down the computer's IP and the router's as well. You will need those informations for configuring the router.
NOTE: If this procedure tells you that you have a router, but if you are very sure that the device you have is not a router, then there's another possibility: Your ISP may work in a somewhat different way; it has a big NAT router with many customers behind it. Possibly (not necessarily), having an IP in the range 172.16.x.x and 172.31.x.x is a hint for this situation. If this is the case, then you are very unlucky, since you can't configure the ISP's router. [ My Case]
What can I do if I am behind a firewall, and I can't configure it?
Being behind a firewall or router is like having a phone line that can only make outgoing calls - you can call other people, but they cannot call you. So firewalled user can call an unfirewalled user, and upload or download files from each other. If both users are firewalled, then neither can accept a connection, and they will not be able to download from each other. If you correctly configure your firewall or router (by setting up port forwarding), DC/DC++/P2P/Torrentz will be able to pass through it, and it will no longer interfere with your downloading. You can then experience DC/DC++/P2P/Torrentz full performance. Acceptable performance is possible if you are firewalled, particularly with BitTorrent protocol, and often with G2 protocol, but you're not likely to get the best performance with DC/DC++/P2P/Torrentz, especially searching performance will be worse.
IMPORTANT! Remember to configure your PC with a static IP. Port forwarding will often only work if you have configured your computer to have a static IP address. Thus disable DHCP on the computer if it is enabled.

Chrome Offline Installer: Full Standalone Installer Without Google Update
If you want to download Google's new web browser "Chrome", you'll need to download a small 474 KB installer from its official website and then it'll download the required files of approx. 9 MB from Google server.
Its annoying and painful when you want to install Chrome in more than one computer or want to ReInstall after Fresh Install of Windows . You'll have to download the required setup files in each system or everytime.
Now no need to worry, Google is providing a standalone installer which doesn't require net connection while installing the browser. So you can download it once and then install it in as many systems as you want or as many times as you want without any problem.
Download Full Standalone Offline Installer for Latest Google Chrome from Google Server and Enjoy Surfing/
There is also another benefit in downloading this standalone installer. It doesn't contain the Google Update EXE file.![]()
