    Dear maam, i wanted to know that surfing porn sites in india islegal or illegal. Not Distributing my porn stuff to anyone else. Just watch them alone....

    Surfing porn sites is banned by law. In fact, pornography is totally illegal in India.

    but maam i have searched some answers on internet. all the sources like yahoo, wikipedia etc said : The law also states that distributing and publishing pornography is illegal. As per the act accessing pornography is not mentioned to be illegal.

    If it's illegal, then Indian Gov is not doing a good job stoping porn in India. Anyone in India who has torrentz software can download as much porn as he likes.

    My cousin in India has tons of Porn movies in India.

    Thats the case for a lot of laws, the government makes the law but does not carry it out as well as it had planned to. Here in America, porno is completely legal; that's because the culture and norms are very different here from India.
